Estampillas conmemorativas

Here, Heritage is our Hero®.

  • Thanks to the distant voyages of unmanned spacecraft and the development of ever-more powerful telescopes, scientists have been able to see the expanses of our solar system. However, it was not until July 2015 that NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft captured the first close-up views of Pluto. The Pluto—Explored! and Views of Our Planets Stamps celebrate the United States, through NASA, as the first nation to explore every planet in our solar system.

The Pluto—Explored! y Views of Our Planets se emiten como estampillas Forever®. These Forever stamps are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail® one-ounce price, which is currently $0.50. • The Views of Our Planets stamps show a small sample of the vast portfolio of planetary images. Some show the planet’s true color while others use the near-infrared spectrum to show details that cannot be seen by the human eye. The Pluto—Explored! stamps display an artist’s rendering of the New Horizons spacecraft as well as a striking photograph of Pluto taken near closest approach.
