Stamps are the story of us, and what a powerful story they each tell. America's greatest people, places and moments are memorialized here, honored in the art and story of commemorative stamps.
Here, Heritage is our Hero®.
The monarch butterfly and western honeybee provide the vital—often overlooked—ecological service of pollination to nearly a third of the food we eat every day. Crop pollination by these particular species, including other insects, birds, and bats, contributes around $15 billion of produce to the U.S. economy each year. Trending declines in pollinator populations alert us that we need mindful human intervention in order to keep them thriving. You can help butterflies, bees, and other pollinators by planting pollinator gardens that include native flowers or heirloom varieties of fruits and vegetables.
